We are a sister company to Roberts Awnings and remain a family owned and operated powder coating company. We started out utilising our powder coating capabilities for Roberts' awnings, canopies and shade products but recently opened up our doors to the public to help assist our community with their powder coating needs! We offer basic steel or aluminum weld repair, sandblasting, phosphate and non-phosphate prepping and powder coating services. This ensures that we get the best bond possible. Our 24 foot oven and spray booth allows us to take on projects of all shapes and sizes!
Powder Coating 101:
Powder coating uses powder NOT liquid paint, to coat metal surfaces. Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses an electric charge to fuse a dry powder onto a metal surface. The piece is then baked in an oven to "cure" at high temperatures where the powder particles melt and fuse with each other to achieve a smooth coating. This process allows it to adhere to the metal and leave a smooth, hard finish! Again, powder is NOT paint! This takes time, proper cleaning, prep and processes!!!
